I’m never letting my parents watch Mad Men again…
I finally got “Zou Bisou Bisou” out of my head today. I didn’t think of it once (which is a big change from yesterday, where I just sang it spontaneously throughout the ENTIRE DAY).
Mom worked a 12 hour shift today, and since I worked from 8-5, I didn’t see her until about 8:45.
Naturally, what is the first thing she sings to me when she walks through the door?
ZOU. BISOU. BISOU.
We laugh. Well, she laughs. I kind of….chuckle….

Instead of having a conversation, my dad replies to my mother BY SINGING ZOU BISOU BISOU.

Then, my parents decide (telepathically, I’m assuming) that they are just going to say ‘Zou Bisou Bisou’ to everything I say, effectively real-life RickRolling me.

I jokingly make both of their ringtones the song in my phone.
My father, noting I’ve done so, proceeds to go outside. He then calls me from the back porch. Twice.

I’m now terrified I will get an early morning wake-up call, and that it will be by Megan effing Draper.

You can dislike the main character and still enjoy watching them. I do.
It’s more or less the same with Boardwalk Empire or The Sopranos— our protagonist isn’t a good person. They’re sleazy admen, corrupt political figures, and straight-up gangsters. They may have some redeemable qualities but is that enough to make-up for all their faults? Generally not. But that’s okay.
Perfect blurb was perfect, Erin.

Don Draper and Lane Pryce at the movies is the biggest GPOY I’ve ever encountered.
“MONSTERRRRRRRRR”
I love this show.

MILES FISHER IS ON MAD MEN.
This is literally the most exciting thing ever.
He made my favorite EP of all time.
And did the most fantastic cover of “This Must Be The Place”
and he looks like Christian Bale.
Find him on youtube!

this is a blog that gets emotional over a fictional couple.

The only two actual couples I’ve ever really been truly emotional over.
And a couple who should be a couple but is not at this point in time a couple:
DROLSEN

Alright, Netflix, you got me…
the stream froze halfway through episode 4 of season 1. I yelled and almost threw my remote, and then promptly begged my dad to make it work, because Pete was crying like a little girl and I was relishing every moment of it.
Dang, Mad Men, why you so good?
And I swear, Netflix, if you freeze again…
