Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper in “The Big Bang Theory” - In a perfect world, William H. Macy would be nominated and would win for his role in SHAMELESS. Parsons is my pick.

Don Cheadle as Marty Kaan in “House of Lies” 
Louis C.K. as Louie in “Louie”
Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy in “30 Rock”

COMEDY ACTRESS

Lena Dunham as Hannah Horvath in “Girls” - Dunham gives a heartfelt, earnest performance that is both funny and real. She should take everything. 
Melissa McCarthy as Molly Flynn in “Mike & Molly”
Zooey Deschanel as Jess Day in “New Girl” - my second pick, I adore NEW GIRL, but think Dunham has the edge in terms of the diversity of the source material.
Edie Falco as Jackie Peyton in “Nurse Jackie”
Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope in “Parks and Recreation”
Tina Fey as Liz Lemon in “30 Rock”
Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer in “Veep”

Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell Pritchett in “Modern Family” - would be nice to see him win, but I’m going to throw it to Greenfield.

Max Greenfield as Schmidt in “New Girl” - The funniest character on NEW GIRL, and a breath of fresh air in terms of TV comedy.

Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler in “The Big Bang Theory” - quite possibly the worst thing to every happen to TBBT. Can’t stand her character.
